Running Accomplishments:

PRs 55.9 400m (down the Provo Canyon), 58.9 track. 2:08.2 800m (track), 4:40.9 mile (track), 16:13 5 K (SLC Track Club 2015, out and back course), 33:21 10 K (SLC Track Club, out and back course), 1:12:55 half marathon (downhill, Top Of Utah Half).

As a 14 year old in 2013: 4:31.58 1500. 9:35:32 3000m (Utah Youth boys state record). 17:01 5K (Draper Days). 1:15:21 half (Utah Valley (aided)).

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get as close to the 1:05 half before I go on a mission in 2017 as possible.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Make it to the Olympics in the marathon.

I am fifteen.  I have five brothers and three sisters,

Took a potshot at the Utah Youth state record for 1500 meters, which is 4:29.4. Unfortunately, the track was at UVU. The wind was terrible. I ran alone. None of the competition could pace me. My splits were 72.7, 74.3, 75.1 and 52.7. The conditions were far from ideal. I'm happy with my performance, but I missed the state record by 6 seconds. Next time I'll be running in a regional meet. Hopefully there will be no wind. Hopefully some Youth in the region can pace me for at least part of the way. I would prefer it if I could sit on some super runner for the first three laps, then get out-kicked. As in chess, your best performances in running occur when you lose to an opponent who beats you, but just barely.
